On October 18, 2005, The New Amsterdams gave permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Subject: [etree] adding new ams to archive.org
I'm attempting to add the New Amsterdams (www.newams.net) to the live
music archive. I work for the bands manager and the band has given us
permission to begin a taping and trading community. We'd love to start
with archive.org! I'm in the process of uploading a show
(newams2004-10-14.flac16) at the moment, so hopefully everything goes ok
with that! If you need any other sort of consent from the band, please
let me or Alex Brahl know and we'll definitely get you
whatever you need. At this point, we are allowing any and all audio of
concerts (no studio releases, obviously).
Thanks!

Policy
The New Amsterdams are now allowing audience audio taping of all headlining shows (unless otherwise stated by the band). For non-headlining shows, the taping policy will be that of the headlining band. Shows are not to be bought or sold, only to be freely traded.
