10 papers on ancient coins (one in French), 8 on medieval, and one on Oriental coins. Five 'Miscellanea' (very short articles) and two Notices of Recent Publications.

The Numismatic Chronicle unfortunately uses multiple page-numbering schemes. The first three pages are unnumbered, followed by three pages numbered with Roman numerals. The 'regular' pages begin (at 1) on page 7, so it is necessary to add 6 to the page numbers in the table of contents to reach the desired article. The Index begins on page 411. 17 poorly scanned plates begin on page 416. On page 434 the second series of numbered pages begins, the 'proceedings' or meeting announcements. On page 476 a new page numbering systems begins listing the members of the society.

The scanning process has several errors. Page 319 is repeated. The photographic plates were not scanned as grayscale and are unviewable, as well as being incorrectly cropped. Bad plates seems to be a problem with other Million Book titles. Of the five Numismatic Chronicles in the corpus as of March 2004, only the 1897 has viewable plates!

This title was published in 1905, not 1909 as indicated. Volume numbering is a problem for the Num. Chron., as it kept renaming itself and beginning a new 'series' at i.
