Wallace "Wally" Ford
Samuel Grundy, born in England, was raised in foster homes in western Canada before entering the US illegally with a friend. After the friend died in an accident, Grundy began using his name, Wallace Ford, professionally.
Ford is a very entertaining character on the screen. He was very popular in the 1930s and 1940s.
Although he appeared in over 150 films, his earnings dissipated and Ford's declining years were spent at a home for retired actors. He was buried in an unmarked grave.
