The Resonance Association Appendix Two is a companion release to The Resonance Association's 2006 mini-album The Resonance Association Volume Two.
Tracks 1, 3 and 4 were recorded during the writing sessions for Volume Two: "Cascade" was remixed and became "Out Of Range" on the Volume Two mini-album.
Track 2 was recorded at Scream Studios, Croydon, one afternoon in December. It features many ideas that were later incorporated into "Adrift" on the Volume Two mini-album.
Drawn together by an insatiable appetite to explore the boundaries and limitations of music, Daniel Vincent and Dominic Hemy formed The Resonance Association as a vehicle with which to drive this shared love of experimentation.
Armed with a wilful disregard for all the usual musical trappings, the pair aim to create music that is truly unique yet open and accessible to all. With influences ranging from the best in modern experimental, post-rock and drone music such as Boards Of Canada, Explosions In The Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, vidnaObmana, Bass Communion and Aphex Twin through to the forefathers of ambient and electronica including Robert Fripp, Neu!, Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd, whilst taking many shades of prog, kraut and rock along the way, the breadth and scope of the band is broad and eclectic.
