Description

Collection of poems and stories written between 1990 and 2000. During this time I lived in the Aboriginal enclave of Redfern in Sydney, hichhiked around Tasmania and lived in the forests of eastern Victoria, lived in Amsterdam as a squatter, spent 3 months in Morocco in search of the ghost of Brion Gysin, worked on farms in Spain, India and Thailand. I also travelled in Britain, Sweden and Germany, making music in the streets and staying in lots of strange places. In 1995 I was part of a perfomance art group in inner city Sydney (Senselesss), a key member of which committed suicide in 1997 (so sad...the first poem is about her). I stayed with Sadhus in India in 1996 and bathed in the Ganges and lived for 3 months in a huge house in Varanassi studying yoga and music. The house was shared with Rainbow Tribe travellers and visionaries from around the world. My first son, Silas, was born in 2000 and it is then that the final poem is written.
