Not Public Domain
Great Stooges short, but this one isn't public domain. Watch out for Sony.

Is this PD?
I thought that it was pretty well established that all but four of the Stooges shorts had their copyrights renewed, and this isn't one of them.

One of the best of the best!
These guys are just the best! "Three Little Beers" ditto! Their comedic talent, pacing and energy made them one of the top trios in comedy in the 30's 40's and 50's. The shorts with Curley in the 30's and early 40's remain some of the funniest ever. The toll taken on poor Curley with all of the knocks to the head (you knuclehead) unfortunately contributed greatly to his health decline. He was forced to retire from the group after a severe stroke in the mid-40's. His brother Shemp Howard replaced him, and then Shemp died in 1955, making way for Joe Besser and Curly Joe DeRita. Sadly, the quality of the shorts minus Curly were fair to poor. "Three Little Beers" was one of the best of the Three Stooges.

Classic Curly
The boys work as deliverymen for a brewery when they decide to enter a golf tournament, knowing nothing about the game. Needless to say, they wind up getting chased off the course. This short was released during their second year with Columbia, with Curly in high form. Lots of outdoor location scenes, mixed with some obvious studio rear projection. Good quality transfer.
