The USS Indianapolis

A song about the USS Indianapolis.

This audio is part of the collection: Ourmedia

Notes

I wrote this song while working as a stagehand at Indiana Repertory Theater during the run of the play "Failure to ZigZag" about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. To me justice will not be served until Captain Charles McVey get's a civilian trial. During the run of the play I sat in back of a big screen showing pictures of men in the water, while the play talked of their being eaten by sharks. I think the Navy screwed up and McVey took the hit. He committed suicide later in life.
