In this episode, I went back to Bloor-Yonge Station, a particularly good venue for this show since there are two performance spaces relatively close to one another.
The first musician I met, on the southbound side of the tracks, was Glen Filazek. Most of the time Glen plays with the Hudu Rising Blues Band a band that consists of him and his twin sons (now age 12). However, rules prohibit minors playing in the subway and so Glen plays in the subway system on his own. Be sure to check out their Myspace page, though to hear the three of them together or for more information about their newly released CD.
Across the tracks, on the northbound side, I ran in to Benny Lozano. Benny also plays with a group, Los Inolvidables (Google Translate tells me that's The Unforgettable) and has been entertaining people in the TTC for longer than anyone I've interviewed yet.
