Subject: A joyful remembrance of a time long past a pleasure for those that can appreciate a piece of history.
Thank you for you playing this tune as well as bringing back a piece of history. I really love the distinct ring of a clawhammer banjo picker. I can almost smell the gunpowder and see the brass on them civil war soldiers. Such pure joy to listen to. I find this music and banjo playing a heart warming experience with my morning coffee as I start my day or when I take my long drives through the mountains were I live in Santa Cruz. Thank you sir. Any chance you do "Wayfaring stranger" "Poke that pigs foot into the fire"

This is absolutely brilliant. This tune sounds hauntingly familiar, and vaguely Irish.

Subject: Welcome to Mr. Joad!
I believe that this is the same Tom Joad who had so many wonderful banjo tunes on the old MP3.com. If so, very nice hearing his music again. And if it isn't, then what the hell this is a fresh, crisp bit of clawhammer banjo-playing and a fine rendition of a classic Appalachian banjo tune.
Damn, I wish I could play like this.
