On December 15, 2002, Trainwreck gave permission to Tyler Huff for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
"At tonight's Trainwreck show (12/15/02) at The Mint in Los Angeles, JR Reed, the lead singer of Trainwreck [alias Darryl Donald] provided permission to myself, Tyler Huff, for the taping and distribution of live trainwreck shows, including the archiving of shows at the etree archive. Trading of shows should be not for profit, and should never be bought or sold, only traded freely."
UPDATE: 10/21/03 It appears there is an official Live EP in the works by Trainwreck. When Kyle Gass (principal member of Trainwreck) was was asked if this would affect fan recordings, he said no. See transcript below from official web site:
<< Joe: Its pretty common for fans to record Trainwreck shows, now that youre going to be selling them, are you going to try and cut down on fan bootlegging?
Kyle: No way, fan bootlegs are all good. Ours is just going to sound great. I think itll be like $9.95 or something. The art itself is going to be worth five bucks cause check it out; what Im thinkin for a possible cover is to do a recreation of like a classic train robbery, with me and Darryl riding horses onto a train and then Shreddy would be like the man in black holding an old school bomb, you know one of those round black ones, Boy Johnny would be the damsel in distress, Kenny Bob would be the engineer and then like Lance would be the doctor. Or what do you think about this, like Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore, have you seen that one? >>
Admin note: There are several bands named Train Wreck or Trainwreck or Train Wreck Band who are US-based and have web pages. This Train Wreck is based in Los Angeles and has overlap with Tenacious D. Please do not upload material from any other Train Wreck, thanks!
