Dave PhillipsTrio #1 For Flute, Guitar, and Harp

Would you like to try our new video/audio player ? (beta!)

The first in a series of trios written for my student Sam Strathman and his family . Sam plays classical guitar, his mother plays the flute, his sister plays the harp. This piece began as a simple study but ended somewhere else. It's completely tonal, formally a simple fantasia for accompanied flute, but it has its challenges for each instrument. I suppose it's playable, I haven't checked for range possibilities, and I haven't scored it.
