Subject: You made my evening...
I downloaded the turntable manual PDF to try to understand this with no luck (images in pdf were missing) but you made my evening come true. Thank you so much.

Subject: The Simplicity of It All......
I would like to thank you sincerely for "How to Install a Turntable Belt Video". I wish I had viewed this prior to many hours of adventure that started at 7pm yesterday and which caused domestic mayhem, burnt sausages and underdone mash. I have had one of these monolithic buggers (Technics SL-BD22) for over twenty years. It has been in mothballs for quite a while and, after dusting off the faecal fungi from a long-dead cat, the only thing amiss with this former purveyor of Beethoven to Bassey was the disintegration of the rubber belt. Condoms have dates. No warning on the front of the box in 1984 that a life of debauchery, badly-landed vinyl and incontinent felines could effect the chemical and physical consistency of latex. However, I could not understand why one reviewer who had RECENTLY purchased TWO of the aforementioned, apart from obviously escaping being sectioned, can't find spare parts since it would seem to any surfer that storage cabinets are full-to-bursting in multiple international locations and possibly in huts in illegal palm-oil areas of Borneo. My only dilemma is a £2.00 differential between Stylus Plus and Currys Spare Parts and perhaps a 0.5mm width issue on the capstan. Maplins, as per usual, has only three belts on offer, but given the fact the instore music (selected managerially - if their is such a thing) has such a visible effect on its instore staff (try Hammersmith), one is almost left gasping at what inducement they have to bang their heads against the Maplins HQ Wall, wherever the soundproofed bunker is. How the fuck they moved from TV Holiday Camp to Electronic Suburban Supplier is a New Wonder in this Age of Adjustment and Fiscal Frivolity. BTW, if anybody can get me a 195cm belt less than a fiver and delivered, please contact me asap as I need to finalise this delicate financial deal.

Affectionately

BigBadGlad

Subject: Drive belt frustration
I just wanted to thank you for the video showing how to replace the turntable belt. All the written descriptions in the world did not help me. I was prepared to go to a Sony repair center for assistance. Then I saw your video and it all made sense! Thank you so much. It's true a picture speaks a thousand words. Keep up the good work.
