Umphreys played an early afternoon set at 2:30, and they were only given about 75 minutes or so, as they had to catch a fligh in Portland bound for Red Rocks just a few hours later. But given the circumstances, they played a nice little set. Highlights for me were the "Stranglehold" jam (Ted Nugent) in the Got Your Milk, as well as the Higgins. Hopefully next year they will get a primetime slot at Nateva.
Thanks for the upload! Wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to hear this one again. Well done...

Subject: Sweet Day Set!!
There is wind blowing throughout the set but the sound quality is def good enough to give this show a listen.
Considering Umphreys were one of the first big acts of the day I think they threw down. Idk why someone said that there was no improve, great american had a sick stewart going right from the start! In fact the first three songs were jammed out. I love it when the jam out to Milk because so often its just a 3min song in between jams so its always nice to hear it get extended.
Like I said, a very solid day set with some great highlights. Red tape was pretty stagnant but Great american and Milk were explosive! Get in the Van was such a treat! Slacker was fun but again I thought they could have taken it farther than they did. The higgins jam raged! Higgins and Milk were the highlights of the show for me. Mile has some great moments but the higgins jam segueing into the end of bottom half to close the set was soooo epic. Great show boys!

As mentioned, lots of windy noise throughout, although the recording does improve somewhat as it goes along. Not much bass coming through to these ears. As for the performance, good improv in Great American, Milk, Bottom Half, and Higgins. Slacker features the most energy of the set, with a ripping solo from Bayliss...a must hear! All in all, standard festy set with minimal improv, solid performances of the songs and strong playing throughout.
