Subject: "Uniquie Contribution"(Parts I & 2)too long and talkative.

The 1959 president of the EB film division could have cut down his speech- the presentation was too long. The color was poor because the blue tones in this print have faded. Present educators have much more access to audio-visual equipment via dvd's,video cassettes, and cd's- all easy to use and affordable. They no longer need encouragement to use these educational aids.

Another EB snoozer film ABOUT educational films featuring the President of the EB film division, explaining to us how the crumbling education system of America, as he put it, can be resolved by showing kids more films. What was really interesting was his exclamation of what kids were talking about these days.. and that was of course Outer space and uh, plant life. He also explains how important music is in kid's lives now, and to hammer this point down, an Orchestra playing 'The Marriage Of Figaro' is shown. Yes, people, people were ignoring Elvis and concentrating on Mozart.
Oh, the clips themselves are unremarkable, save for the hilariously melodramatic 'Pilgrims' movie and the 'Our Town' film, which is probably the only film I've seen footage of handicapped kids in school. (Of course, all of the handicapped, special education and wheel chaired kids get thrown in together). It's too bad we don't get to see the names of these films at the end.. Perhaps EB was supressing the titles so that the teachers would be forced to watch more films to find them?
