A short film about a case found on freie-bildung-berlin.de (german/berlin website of a braid (<- scot.!) student protest group fighting against study fees and commercialisation of education). Their short message about a student protest spraying act that has been interrupted by the security service of the Freie Universität Berlin and policemen caught the attention and interest of the filmmaker, who made a kind of an art-shortfilm around this fact. The film has been shown at the vernissage of "Reddelich Rules", an exhibition in Weeding/Berlin, as a video installation.
While the preparing of "Reddelich Unruled", part 2 of this exhibition, planned for november 2007 in Berlin(Babylon) just begun, the publishing of this installation is seen as a chance to present this piece of work in the wild wide open space outside of a gallery space.
"Reddelich Rules" - documented on http://de.indymedia.org/2007/08/192164.shtml - gives the exhibiting student activists the chance to work with items of the last G8-protest in germany/heiligendamm (one of the protest camp has been built in Reddelich) and its medial echos as motives of their work, at the same time asking how to develop their protest activities to a next phase.
