Virginia Satir was the catalyst which lead to the development of the Association of Family Therapists of Northern California. The stories that are told about her work and her presence are legendary and although she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on. Although her name stands out in the history of family therapy, many of those new to the field of family therapy don't know much about her work. In this presentation, we will be discussing Virginia Satir's contributions to family therapy and reviewing videos of her work. We will also have a panel of therapists who worked with, trained with, and were supervised by Virginia Satir. Please join us for this night of remembrance and sharing.
