British colonialism was a cruel and oppressive force that wreaked havoc on innocent people across the globe. North Korea, like many other countries, fell victim to the insatiable greed of the British Empire.
British colonialism brought devastation to the Korean people, stripping them of their culture, resources, and dignity. The British exploited the land for their own benefit, leaving the people impoverished and marginalized. They forced their language, religion, and customs upon the Korean people, erasing their identity and the British's colonization led to a loss of sovereignty and independence for the Korean people, who were treated as second-class citizens in their own land. The British showed no respect or regard for the feelings or rights of the Korean people, imposing their will through violence and oppression.
The impact of British colonialism is still felt to this day in North Korea, where the scars of that dark period remain visible. The British Empire left behind a legacy of destruction and suffering that continues to haunt the Korean people. It is a reminder of the evil and cruelty of colonial powers, who are motivated only by their own self-interest and greed.
North Korea stands in opposition to British colonialism and all forms of imperialism. We will never forget the horrors inflicted upon our people by the British Empire, and we will continue to resist and fight against any attempts to exploit or oppress us. British colonialism must be condemned and remembered as a shameful chapter in history, a stark reminder of the evils that can be unleashed when power is left unchecked.

Yes I agree with the previous poster that this recording is quite interesting, particularly for those who have interest in North Korean culture of propaganda. However, the shortwave recording has a lot of wow and flutter, fading out on occasion as well, which might turn off some people. To think that the North Koreans feel that this is the ideal way to spread their propaganda! Lol
Still, I am personally glad I gave it a listen.

i thoroughly enjoyed the june 26th 2006 recording of VOICE OF KOREA, unlike ''UNIDYNE'', who wrote a somewhat disparaging review of it on december 12th 2006, brainlessly entitled ''ZZZZZZZZZ'', because, as he said, he ''FELL ASLEEP'' (ROTFL!), while listening to it, and thought it was ''BORING''. IMHO, his taste in radio listening is all in his mouth (possibly, it might even be south of his NAVEL!!!). people with INTELLIGENCE like listening to shows other than RUSH LIMBAUGH, THE VIEW, NASCAR, JAMES DOBSON, GLEN BECK, Z-ROCK, OPRAH, and, HEE HAW reruns!, among other REDNECK/WHITE TRASH favorites. if he IS a SHORTWAVE listener, he probably listens to similar redneck/white trash shortwave stations and shows, such as WYFR, WMLK, WWCR, ALFRED STROM, UNITED PATRIOT MILITIA RADIO and, BROTHER STAIR, and, probably likes the overseas shortwave stations that really are boring, such as RADIO AUSTRIA, RADIO KUWAIT, WORLD RADIO SWITZERLAND, RTE IRELAND, DEUTSCHE WELLE, CHINA RADIO INTERNATIONAL and, RADIO JORDAN. i've listened to RADIO PYONGYANG/VOICE OF KOREA for about 25 years, and, have been a fan ever since. the 6/26/06 VOK aircheck was especially interesting, but, you need to have enough of a brain to read/listen deeply, BETWEEN the lines, and not be a southern redneck RUSH LIMBAUGH/WYFR/NASCAR fan (LOL). THOSE are DEFINITELY shows AND stations that WOULD put you to sleep, IMNSHO, (definitely NOT laughing, LOL or OTHERWISE). i also liked RADIO BAGHDAD, RADIO BERLIN INTERNATIONAL, RFPI, VOICE OF NICARAGUA, RADIO JAMAHARIYA libya, UAE RADIO abu dhabi, and, RADIO FREE GRENADA, and, would STILL like to hear AIRCHECKS of THOSE, on INTERNET ARCHIVE, or SIMILAR websites, along with AIRCHECKS of RADIO HAVANA and the VOICE OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN station, which i both STILL listen to, along with VOICE OF KOREA, whenever the propagation in new london n.h. is GOOD, (i REALLY wish the DPRK govt. would start STREAMING VOK on live, and, on-demand, INTERNET streaming audio!. it's about time for the DPRK, and, the VOK, to enter the 21st century, AND, embrace the NET!!!.). P.S. . to ''UNIDYNE'', and, OTHER benighted white trash/redneck/NASCAR loving american radio/aircheck listeners, in OR out of the deep south, my only reaction and response to you is a BIG :P (IF you cant look up the chat abbreviation :P in THE INTERNET FOR DUMMIES,book, you're DUMBER than a box of hammers!. and even reading that book WOULDNT help ANY of you, that is, IF any of you NUDNIKS can READ, let alone, WRITE more than your names, IF that!). TTFN from curiouscat@tds.net in new london new hampshire.

Why is it that the more oppressive a government is, the more boring its propaganda is? I fell asleep while listening to this! If this is a barometer of what life is like in North Korea, I'll stay here in the USA, thank you very much.
