The classic 2nd century study and analysis of Christian Gnosticism in all its extant variants, as collected both from Gnostic writings and discussions with Gnostic teachers (as well as ex-Gnostics).
Since Irenaeus was studying Gnosticism to help others change Gnostics' minds, he strove for as much accuracy as possible in his account. And in fact, you will find that his account of Gnosticism tallies closely with that of the recently rediscovered Gnostic writings.

Subject: What a Treat, a Feast, A Delight...
Well you get my gist we have been provided through this most wonderful of audio sites a free ride into the writings of not only a Dr of the Church but one of the great minds from 1800 yrs ago(?). This book a true challenge to read is fed to us in bite size pieces that allow you to absorp so much more than reading thru at our normal breakneck speed. He gives us both sides of the greatest threat to the young Church. Presenting both sides but we are`allowed to follow him as he studies the 'other side' so that when he forms his argument we see clearly why. I have never enjoyed stumbling on to a site more than Mariaelectrix my HD is filling up so fast that I bought another today. As Christians we all need to share her well laden table as anybody who enjoys the readings of the great minds that gave shape to the teachings that have shaped our world. I speak her not of organized religions but the hearts and minds of our forefathers that battled not just ideas but with life and death for those ideas. I am deeply greatful to all that have helped put this site together and after eating the words of the faith-formers I shall move on to the novels but I truly hope that more will be coming of what I am basking in now. If I can help please let me know. normanjasonprice@yahoo.com and blessing to all that build and those of us that find shelter from the storm behind these walls that are holding after 2,000 yrs. wordeater55 will belly full and mind ablaze gives thanks to your Lord and mine.
