World Ear Project: Transmission Five (February 12, 1971)

In this, the fifth in a series of programs of ambient sound recordings from around the world, Richard Friedman introduces a tape of a trip to the San Diego Zoo, recorded by Pauline Oliveros, in November 1968. This is followed by street recordings made by Jack Schneider when visiting Lisbon, Portugal and Mocamedes (Namibe), Angola, in November 1970.
