Another George O'Brien Gem
This re-make of the 1924 production of the same name is a very good George O'Brien vehicle. Producer Sol Lessor, who produced the original as well, re-made this on location in St. George Utah to good advantage. It's also obvious from the jumpyness of the film that a lot of hand-cranked original footage was re-used in the re-make. However you've got likeable, smiling George O'Brien as a "Rambling Wreck From Georgia Tech", who saves the day. Winsome Dorthy Wilson as the rancher's daughter and Paul Kelly in one of his earliest best friend/rival rolls that he did so well over the years, and Harry Woods as the villain of the piece. So what's not to like. This is a little forgotton gem that you may need a little patience to watch, but it's worth it. Enjoy.
