Subject: A good instructional film
This was a good instructional film made for youngsters riding bicycles. I agree with another reviewer who also noticed a 1957 car parked near the store, thus the film was probably made around 1957.

Subject: ÃÂAvoid being run downÃÂ
ÃÂYou and Your BicycleÃÂ feature a bunch of boys in their Stratocaster bicycles demonstrating the doÃÂs and donÃÂts of cycling. ItÃÂs pretty standard actually, with obvious tips. Eg, donÃÂt ride at night, keep to the right side of the road, etc. If youÃÂre paying attention youÃÂll hear the narrator say to you to 'avoid being run down'. EXCELLENT advice. Couldnt agree more!

Subject: Great film for seeing some postwar bikes.
These films are always interesting in more ways than just the title subject; for instance the cars, clothes and streets.

I note that this film is later than 1948 because of the cars; I spotted a 1957 Ford.

Didn't know whether to rate this a 5 or a 1 so I settled on 3. It is a boring but no bullshit film about bike safety.
