Jennings and Brokaw were really in their zone on 9/11, I think Rather had a hard time getting across the quickly breaking news just because of his old-time journalist style.

Mr. Jennings was absolutely one of the best broadcast journalists of our time, and he is still greatly missed.

Subject: ABC News - National Coverage

The late Peter Jennings begins to piece together the events of September 11th. Discussion includes the initial accusations against Osama Bin Laden.

Initial indications that the President would not immediately be returning to the White House. Extraordinary footage of sharpshooters on top of White House roughly 20 minutes into segment.

Interview with ABC News (turned CNN) correspondent Barbara Starr. Interesting news fact: September 11th is Barbara Starr's birthday.

Another incredible job by ABC News during the 45-90 minutes after the second tower collapses.
