This is a wonderfully taped showcase of the live experience you'll have with Andrew Bird. His music is best enjoyed in concert! Go!

Subject: birdman
One of my favorite discs to listen to. Amazing sound and an overall great performance. When Bird plays solo it is a totally different (in my mind superior) experience than with his band. Each song is so much more patient with thick textures that build to produce such a big sound.

Subject: decent show
the quality is great, the crowd is barely there. it is an official french radio broadcast, so the french announcer comes in between each song and says some words, which gets annoying. Other than that, fun setlist, not too long though, but the songs are simple and fun.

Subject: Capital I
So is the file for Capital supposed to be shortened? My copy quits before the song is over. I'm fairly certain MD5s checked out.
Otherwise, a terrific recording of a terrific performance.

Subject: Great Performance
This is a great quality recording and AB gives a wonderful, enthusiastic performance. Audience noise is not present on this one. No drums, however.

Subject: Un concert d'anthologie
Eh oui, un peu de français pour changer.
Un grand concert, un accueil à la hauteur, une prise de son de grande qualité et puis un artiste généreux pour un set qui laisse un goût de bonheur dans les oreilles.
S'il faut remercier l'artiste, il ne faut pas oublier Bernard Lenoir qui l'a déjà invité plusieurs fois.

Subject: GREAT ANDREW BIRD CONCERT
This is a great asset for this site... and for all Andrew Bird lovers !
A full concert... with Studio quality recording...
It was for a live Radio show ("C'est Lenoir Blacksessions" in Paris France) broadcasted live on "France-Inter" (national radio) and on the radio's website (this recording comes from that media)
Andrew Bird was alone on stage in front of a audiance who knew very little about him... he had everything to proove...
...he emediatly electrified the crowd...
the application in the performance and the concentration of the audiance is tangible, Andrew Bird's performance is just outstanding...
the improvised musical arrangements synthesizes the musical genious the artist is capable of !
His performing of "Masterfade" equals (if not surpasses) the album/studio version and sets a promissing futur for the years of music to come !
Recordings of this quality are a benediction and are to be hoped for all other artists/performances
