"Confusion Is Next embody everything I look for in musicians; passionate, intelligent and talented; people who perform purely for the joy of performing; and this comes across in the music they produce, a return to the glory days of Alternative Rock, to a time when alternative meant different and bands were not afraid to mix noise, progressive structures and melody.
Great music should trigger a response from the listener and Confusion Is Next's song writing possesses this quality, their music takes me back to a time when I was growing up and discovering the joys of sound; a reminder of the days when the music was the central factor, where releases were passed between friends on discovering a 'new' band, and seemingly before people were influenced by fashion, trends, and scenes; possibly a naive viewpoint on my behalf but fond memories all the same.
With 'The Generation Of This Order', Confusion Is Next have created another quality release which I hope you'll take the time to listen to, and that it will either invoke some fond old memories or create some welcome new ones. Play loud and enjoy!"

"I first heard CIN on their excellent 2008 release "Lost in Dark Days". On the strength of that, I further explored their music with the first release, 2005's "Spread The Spirit". While both feature a raw sound that's reminiscent of early 90s "alternative", the first seems to owe a bit more to that era, while the second sees CIN further refining their sound, exploring more dynamics and boasting a much better recording quality.
Well here we are with a fresh one for you to enjoy. The first thing that's apparent to me when listening to "The Generation of this Order" is the fact that CIN have struck a balance between the raw, loud sound that dominated their first two releases and the melodic, dynamic sound that began to appear in "Lost in Dark Days". A bit of the "confusion" is replaced by a bit of clarity, which makes for the perfect balance. In just a few years, CIN have matured into a confident band who seem to have a clear vision of exactly where they want to go. "The Generation of this Order" sees Confusion is Next poised to take their career to another level. I, for one, look forward to what CIN has in store!
Let me be the first to say... enjoy!"
