R. MartinTrovatore: Ah, Si Ben Mio (1912)

This cylinder recording was made by one of the few American tenors to make an international reputation in the early 20th century. He sang at the Metropolitan and was a friend of Enrico Caruso, who also gave him some lessons in the early part of his career. In later years Martin taught at Julliard in New York.

A pretty good recording of this tenor. The song is remarkably very clear, and the singer is in fine form.
