What a fucking joke! These guys don't even come close. Did you ever see Phish? I doubt it.

Good sounding show. "Stinking hippies"? What a peckerwood.

Subject: ALO Rules is retarded
To say that Phish only got popular after Jerry died demonstrates your ignorance. Phish had a tremendous following way before Jerry died. The only thing that happen after Jerry died is all the dirty hippies started showing up at Phish shows! ALO Blows!

this user "shutupandlistentothemusic" wears a helmet everywhere they go! they're 2 star review says not to even mention ALO in the same sentence as Phish. Actually, it's the other way around. Phish only got popular because Jerry died- they suck! ALO will pile drive Phish any day!!!!!!

Subject: Not impressed
Good recording, not that impressed with them. Don't mention Phish in the same breath as these guys. Just sound like a fun local band.

This show is on fire! Not only is the recording great, but the band is incredible. This is my first experience with ALO, and I will definately be back for more.

Subject: My new favorite band (this week!)
This is my first review on this board... but I don't just hand out 5 ratings... this is what I expect a 5 to sound like!

I got this show simply cuz I agreed to go see Jack Johnson and ALO is opening in 2 months...

WOW!... great recording and disc one has been played about 3 times in 24 hours at my house...

These animals seem hip/funky/dance-able... good lyrics with lots of both piano and guitar songs... cool covers and good vibes.

I also got the Bozeman, MT 2004 show and it is equally kickin'.

Me Likey the LO!

Subject: the un-redunant 5 star
the number of 5 star reviews for alo as of late may seem a bit suspicious. may seem a bit contrived, that we're trying too hard or that it's part of some clever marketing campaign.
but i say, no! this band is on fire. charlie crompton adding to this fever with some amazing boards and serious skills on making the boys sound their best. vocals most notably. though vocals are a bit hot on this recording, this show still gets the full service treatment. the 5 star.
this show is about love and if you've forgotten what that's about, give this show a try.
my favorite alo to date. things can only get better. a classic performance, historic even if only a week after it was played.
here is a link to a video of plastic bubble from this show: http://www.alomusic.com/videos/silky-bubble.mpg

Subject: Silky, Sensuous, and the BEST!
This may be ALO's best download on the archive, seems to be the best 2 disk show fo' sho'. Get this. Do not hesitate. Download and enjoy!

This recording is of the Silky and Sensuous Ball; the finale of ALO's Tour de Amore. SOhO Reastaurant and Music Club was decked out and transformed into SB Musicphreak central to host this lovingly magical event. The event opened with the resurrection of Evil Farmer an early to mid 90s Isla Vista/UCSB band that was of great influence to ALO and included ALO's Dave Brogan on drums and Zach Gill's piano teacher on keys. There are heavy E.F. sitins in ALO's first set. The end of the second set features complete meltdown as the band tears the house apart and sends the dance floor on fire. This show includes the new sensations Lies of the World and Livin' in a Dyin' Day. Okay, less reading and more downloading ;). Thank you Charlie for recording and Pete for uploading. Yeah ALO!

Subject: A Landmark Show for ALO
This was, in my opinion, the finest show ALO has ever played. It was the total package featuring silky classics, hot-off-the-presses new material and sensuous covers played to their fullest.
This is a really "live" soundboard recording which does an excellent job conveying the explosive energy of the night. Enjoy!
