Subject: Great NYE fun
YES!!! I love ALO to the point where they were a main selling poing in getting me to choose this NYE party over any other option, and Im so glad I did.

Great set from ALO, playing many of thier hits. I too was really diggin the new song. recording sounds pretty good for what seems like a venue that would not lend well to recordings

and SCI went waaaaayyyy above and beyond my expectations

Subject: Wow.
Thank you. This show stands on its own. What a great night in a dripping building. Legends are made of such experiences.

Subject: GO ALO!
After forgiving the early hiccup, this is a sweet recording that shrinks the room in friendly fashion, good stuff! ALO is in the wonderful place of having each show they play raise their efforts to new heights. Fresh off their October SF Fillmore sell-out, the fellas really stretch things out with a dozen plus minutes of Kolomana. Their offering of Ophelia, on the upcoming tribute album to The Band, is choice, honoring the original, while funkifying it in their own right. The influence of The Band on Zach especially is so enjoyable. Yucking it up with Billy Nershi is funny, danceable, yet bizarre. The always enjoyable Walls of Jericho (“San Francisco Freaks”), Possibly Drown, & Yes We Can all seem to pack some extra punch and it sounds like they have been rehearsing their vocals arrangements and are all stellar versions. The new song Maria is easy likeable and we look forward to more new material in 07. GO ALO!
