The author was a Venetian ecclesiastical scholar who published a book of commentaries of the Psalms in 1620. In the closure of his dedication to the cardinal Santori, he mentions his being old and decrepit
Latin manuscript of 340 pages, numbered by leaf from 1 to 170. The text is written in a secretarial calligraphy, with substantial additions in a different hand at the end of many chapters, and some marginal notes, which might have been written by the author himself
Binding: cover Middle Hill boards; labels on spine: I. Miscellan. MS, and the manuscript number 7543
Provenance: Sir Thomas Phillipps library; previously in Lord Guilford's collection
