Subject: hmm
good show and recording, as expected from soundboard. in response to the above annie can be like that at times but she is far from an "airhead." if you listen she had been in spain for 6 months prior and was trying to adjust to everything again after just getting back about a week earlier.

Subject: Wish all boots sounded this good
This is a very, very nice sounding show...I guess if she were ever to release a commercial live album, it very well might sound like this. Nice job. As for Ms. Bethancourt, well, her between song banter makes her sound a little like a surfer-girl airhead. However, notwithstanding that, her songs are not bad at all. At times she has some tendency to sound like an Ani DiFranco/Alanis Morrisette clone, but, to Bethancourt's credit, she rises above that stereotype and shows us her originality. She has a strong, convincing voice and is able to do interesting, quirky things with it when ya least expect it. The beauty of it is that those slight quirks work....they don't come off as forced or routine. This recording shows that she is also a very nice guitar player. Like her singing, she'll often throw unexpected licks that with a lesser player might sound utterly out of place. If she can get away from her giddy teenager role between songs, I'd say she's going places.
