good stuff!
was familiar with the name of the band, but not the music itself. This is the first AOD show I've listened to on archive & I can't believe what I've been missing all these years . . . really good stuff!

Unique yet familiar soud.
Without knowing the band and their material I would say this is a well recorded good performance by AOD. Reminds me of the Black Crowes meets the Neville Brothers by way of El Paso. I like what I hear in this performance- good, balanced interplay by the band without showboating- members enhance each other, which is refreshing. Definate 4+ all around and worth downloading for a change of pace.

wow! I've heard of the band before and figured I would give them a listen today. so glad I did. the other reviews are right on. vocals are nice which isn't always easy to find in this scene. sound is superb(sdbd) the band gels nicely with an A-bro meets SCI sound. super glad I decided to check this out. I'll be checking for when AOD is coming to upstate ny next!!!

I happened across this show while browsing the archive. This is a nice long set by Assembly of Dust. The band sounds very tight. The recording is excellent. I would recommend this show. Thanks.

Beautiful
I must say it was my first time seeing Assembly of Dust and they rip. Their like a breath of fresh air. The lyrics are inspired and their musicianship only enhances their original style. Its the band meets some other eclectic rock band. Amazing Quality by the way, a must have

most excellent find
this is a really top quality show for both sound quality and the quality of the sounds -- completely agree with the comments on the quality of the songwriting and the vocals but as for the kid -- student for life, I think -- who asks who is better? I don't know if they are better but do indeed check out Tea Leaf Green, especially the 1-22-05 shows in Petaluma,CA. Both bands have a great deal in common and are really, really excellent finds

Great new find!!!
I'm so pumped I stumbled onto these guys on the archive. This show is one of the best shows I've ever heard. It is strong from beginning to end. The lead guitar tone is awesome! And the vocals are amazing! If you like southern rock mixed with a jamband direction, you will get into these guys. I'd heard of them for the last couple years but never checked them out. Now I see what I missed. Every song is fantastic! And the sound is just right.
BTW - What are all the band members names and instrument?

outstanding AOD!
I completely agree with the other reviewers, Reid is one of the best vocalists in the jam circuit. This is a A+ recording...the boys are definately playing tight for this SDB. This dl really showcases their impressive and unique talents.

good setlist and what a time it was on new years! Reid is probably the best vocalist in the jam circuit (just my opinion). To naysayers, who is better? Grab this show as the the batting average indicates. However, this recording comes in kind of shallow and isnt that crisp. none the less.

AMazing.
This is what it is all about with this band. So good. Tight is on the menu with a dash of melody so high it can only make you want to smile and dance all at the same time. If the band reads this keep on it. Beer can hockey mates from New Years 2004 in NH read this? Sick! adios.

Absolutely stunning
Incredible sound, incredible performance, incredible band. I've seen Strangefolk a lot and liked them when Reid was with them, and after he left as well. I saw AOD in Portland, Maine in September, and was absolutely blown away. These guys have incredible chemistry together, and this show is an absolute must-have. Everyone is spot on. You won't be dissapointed!

Pinical of Music
This show is a must have for any music lover. Reid's voice will uplift you while Nate Wilson's keyboard runs will set sails to the high gear of your soul. AOD's rhythm section is always tight. Adam's solos are so rhythmic that you cant stay still listing to it, and his melodies could put a baby to sleep. Over all, one of the strongest and best shows AOD has ever showcased. MUST HAVE!!! ********** (10 star)

What a show!!! What a night!! This is actually a 10 star show!!! * * * * * * * * * *
From start to finish, AOD are on their A Game!! If you know and love this band or are just discovering them, this is a MUST HAVE. It's the rampant escapism and live-for the moment feel-good communal energy that AOD are all about.
Amazing energy, beautiful collaboration (with Ryan Montbleau), incredibly executed covers (Oasis, The Band, Stephen Stills) a perfect mix of Reid and Nate's amazing songwriting, new rockers, old standards, heartfelt storytelling, jubilant celebration and FANTASTIC SOUND!!
Everyone should hear this concert. From grade school kids to actual grown-ups, it's one for the history books.
FYI, All of set 2 (including Harrower) will fit onto an 80 min cd. I reccomend using the disc tracking given, with the exception of putting D3t01 on the end of D2 to maintain set II's continuity.
Thanks for allowing us relive this magical night with the crispy goodness of this SOUNDBOARD AOD!!!!
