I was at this show, totally amazing from beginning to end. I wore out the tape I had years ago, I'm so glad it got posted. ARU was one of the unsung hereos of the 90's Jam scene. So lucky to have been there!!!

This show leaves me in a pile of my own sweat everytime I give it a listen- that happens to be pretty often. It is truly over-whelming. These guys are virtuosos and make it sound almost easy. And I agree with the other reviewer about Grippo, gorgeous addition.
Peace and much groove!
Update:
Time is Free>Jack The Rabbit
If there is a Rabbit in there I'm having trouble finding it. What I'm hearing is
Time is Free>
Bass solo>Time is Free
From there, the Davey>Elevator stands out as some of the most INSANE... I've ever been pleasured by.
Put on your shoes is also known as "Nobody's Worrying about you."
And the "Working on a Building" here is my personal favorite version.
Again,
Peace and much groove.

FFFFFWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!!!
JEEZ that is some ridiculous wild fast jazz.
Jimmy Herring is absolutely amazing, even with what sounds like such a simple squeaky/dirty tone set-up, he just puts other guitarists to shame. Playing crazy jazz licks that fast is the kind of shredding that I have never heard anybody else do. I guess that is what makes him good enough to play with ARU, the Allman Brothers, Project Z, Phil Lesh and Friends, The Other Ones, The Dead, WSP, Jon Popper, Derek Trucks, etc.....And you don't hear too many people out outshine Trey either.....
Oteil is the shit, the peacemakers have rocked my world too.
Page and Fish blend right in, Grippo has mighty chops, Apartment Q258 is like a jazz computer on a drum kit.
Sweet show, must have been a real treat to be able to be there, it sounds like the musical energy was just blistering!

This is some fancy playing, fast and furious. The quality is definitely that old cassette sound, a little fuzzy and compressed, some hiss. Despite that, it conveys the grandeur of the music just fine especially if you turn it up. Of the guest appearances, Grippo's is the most extensive and noteworthy as he contributes some amazing sax solos.
