TroupeTroupe - Crepuscular [BKTR004] ()

Troupe's first big ol' EP is finally here! Troupe has been releasing dandy music for quite a while now, especially once you fully realize that he's only a sixteen-year-old. Perhaps it is because, he lives in texas where there are music-enhancing cows and cacti, or maybe it's just because he hangs out with our friend xerxes so much. Whatever the case, he sure knows how to bring a relaxing melody that minimalistic oldschool touch.

This is so oddly retro, but it works completely. Soaring leads and spectacular melodies to the fore - a hidden gem.

Looks like this one has got far too little attention, this is really something music lovers should have a listen. Finely crafted, organic sounding, lovely tracker/demo-influenced melodies. Not much to complain about the production technique, or anything else. Wish there was more..

Subject: a rare gem!
I have to say I think it would be shame for any lover of melodic electronic music to miss this release! The tunes have a nice oldskool tracker flavor to them without surrendering completly to that sound. The melody work and drum work is nothing short of amazing and the lines convey a great sense of control and mastery of the art. You get a feeling of motion mixed with a feeling of still reflection, and the release never gets bogged down by negativity but instead tends to inhibit a nice smile to appear on your face. 5 stars to troupe, can't wait to hear more.
