Not the best recording quality, it's a little distant but certainly not so bad as to detract too much from Ben Kweller's performance here which is very good and there's some amusing between song banter.

3 star sound quality, 4.5 star show

Sound Quality: 3.5/4 of 5 stars. A good recording. I haven't listened to the other source of this show available (AKG) but this one was my choice because it had the mp3's / streaming option which I need to listen at work. The overall recording is good sounding, not much crowd noise at all. the instruments are all clear, but Ben's vocals are a little hollow. It sounds great though and it sounds like a packed house.

Show Quality: 3 of 5 stars. This was my first listen of Ben Kweller. I've heard his name around the musical world for a few years now. I was even the archive admin that went after him to join up to archive.org and got him set up back in Jan 04, but I haden't listened to him till today. It's kinda a pop / folk sound with a hint of country (like on 'Believer'). Sorta Ryan Adams-ish. Sha-Sha and My apartment are fun songs. They seem to have that 4-minute pop-roc song timing down. Overall, the sound of Ben is fun, but I don't know if i'd see him live. If the ticket wasn't that expensive, i'd swing by.. High praises to him though for being taping friendly and his work in 'The Bens' with Ben Lee and Ben Folds.

A very nice set. Sounds like it was a fun concert. Recording, however, is distant and a bit tinny. Still audible and enjoyable. Thanks for the upload.

Second to last night at Laga before they close doors forever. RIP Club Laga! Good sound on this night, and due to the layout of the venue a much better recording location than the night before.
