This collaborative project features a foundation soundscape created by CDRX and modified by Kecap Tuyul, adding prepared guitar, flute and voice. Wind Spirits includes additional source material from Mystified, Kecap Tilil and unpublished work from French noise artist, Watzatnoiz, who has since retired.
CDRX, a citizen of Elgaland-Vargaland, began as “Cereal Killer”, with audio work based on mixes, sound pastes, field recordings, loops, distortions and harsh noise. After a long break, his focus is mainly dark ambient music. Kecap Tuyul also collaborates with Kecap Tilil in the duo Pura Sombar.
A dark primordial soundscape slowly builds to reveal an organic, detailed and mysteriously charged environment reinforced with ethereal vocal and wind elements.

Dark Winds
Simply put, Wind Spirits (Buddhist on Fire) has CDRX performing soundscapes to which Kecap Tuyul then added guitar, flute and voice. But it’s never that simple as that, is it? The beginning on this hour-long opus, the music builds and builds upon itself, guitar, soundscape, guitar, soundscape. Within Wind Spirits, CDRX and Kecap Tuyul are able to successful combine various field recordings and guitar — plus many other ‘noises’ including work from Mystified and Watzatnoiz — to a work that flows through noise, ambient and drones.

Exciting
Exciting and very diverse, with a truly elemental spirit. Listen to the musical wind howling through the window panes.
