I think every show the Breakfast played at the Church has been great. This one is no exception. Good sound and inspired jamming. I like the sound of these shows(spring '08). The Message is terrible but otherwise I like what the new members were bringing to the table at this time.
One aspect I really like about shows from this time is the variability of the setlists. There are also some silky segues which is surprising considering how few times the new members had played some of these songs. Indeed some of these segues are great, like the one entering the slow, slinky Willie the Pimp. Also the Coma > Mooboo's > Gladys sandwich is spicy good. Love the Synergy jam before Dig. Now that is some solid stuff.
Matt's tenure was relatively short with the band but one can't overlook these shows. They were exploring some new sounds and having a good time doing it!!!! Check this out.
