Great Job
Great use of Bush slogans in the posters that appear behind the unemployment line ("If you pay taxes, you get a tax cut. If you don't pay taxes -- lucky you!")
Although the animation is wonderfully reminiscent of the techniques of the King Features Syndicate, it is all original, employing some 1930s imagery to emphasize the greatest loss of jobs since the great depression.
The historical significance of this clip is that it reminds us that the Bush administration was the first presidential administration in the history of the nation to establish an office in the White House explicitly for the purpose of facilitating overseas outsourcing of labor.
