Bus Stop is a pretty amazing movie, but in this trailer, they emphasize Miss Munroe's sex appeal all over the place, which is not the point of the movie, but in this case, I can see WHY this was done. I am sure there were dissapointed fellows who rushed to the cinema and became bored of the excellent plot.

Unfortunately, it's obvious how the color is slowly fading to brown. In another decade or so, extant prints of this work will have faded to the point that they would be hardly distinguishable from monochrome. Perhaps the much-maligned colorization technique could be resurrected at some point in order to restore the original color values to this and other old Eastmancolor pictures.

That point aside, this is a fine film. Don Murray decides that he and Marilyn Monroe are engaged, but he overlooks the fact that he hasn't asked her to marry him. Marilyn's acting is good and her singing is outstanding. This is the film that includes her famous rendition of 'That Old Black Magic'.

The trailer does a good job of presenting the basic story. Marilyn's fans will love it, but of course they'll love the film even more.
