- *w/ Dave McMurray on Tenor Sax. For most of the second set, he was laying out or playing with the Wolfpack. He had feature solos on Loser, Wang Dang Doodle, and Stella Blue.
- Recorded from main floor, center of the second railing.
- For the past few weeks, I've been saying the Detroit show was going to be wild, and it did not disappoint. There are some very unusual arrangements in here. Bob was directing traffic all night, and the whole band seemed particularly fired up.
- This was one of those shows that made me do some reminiscing. Almost every show, I think to myself something along the lines of: "Once again, Bobby's life path and mine have placed us in the same room at the same time." The day Jerry died, I really wasn't sure we were going to be able to continue this kind of music. That was over half a lifetime ago. I've seen Bob 159 times now, more than almost any other musician, and 86 of those have been since the end of the Grateful Dead. I am thankful and overjoyed that we still get to do this, and I can't take any of it for granted. Bob looks younger and healthier in his 70s than Jerry did in his 50s, so hopefully the Fates will have many more opportunities to place us in the same room at the same time.

Thanks to Toaste for another stellar recording; have pretty much listened to entire tour -- in addition to hitting the 2 Austin and 2 Nashville shows -- and this show really floats my boat. Hey Toaste, met ya in Nashville -- was a pleasure; keep on keepin' on :)

I was there, too, in the pit a few feet in front of the mic stand. What a brilliant night of music. An uplifting experience on every level. Kudos to Bob, the band, the sound engineers, and everyone in the crowd. Thanks for sharing this recording of a memorable evening.

Thank you so much for this wonderful recording. This was my first time seeing the Wolf Bros outfit and I can honestly say that what Bobby's doing with the songbook blew my mind. Confident, assured leadership and a spectacular sonic palate make this a night I'll remember forever.
