Another good Saturday night at Magnolia YST Blues and BBQ. Overrall the recording was done a bit low, and there's some ring on the first few songs till we got the monitors set. A couple of the songs are chopped up by tape breaks, or the usual late starts, etc.... I'm listening to this right now on CD with the big home surround (the subwoofer is a 15" Peavey Black Widow) - and it's a nice solid mix. Matt on bass is a treat; he earns a nod from Charles at the end of track 24. Stretch gets a good start on drums alho he's out of the mix later as the stage volumn went up. The Boys are all having fun.

A lot of the same songs from Friday night but always different. Never thought Charles could top New Is Bad from last night but here ya go, all 12 minutes of it. Too bad Lovelight gets cut off. Harty has a few tunes, and if you take the time, the interplay and solos by Charles and Larry on these are good.

Loretta - don't know why she's on stage; kills us all on track 16 Flip Flop Fly. So bad it's funny - but I dare ya to listen thru to the end. She never does get the right key. Solo on Thrill is blissfully short - yeah baby lost lost lost.

May 2009 Looks like there are about 8 recordings left in this last cassette case - live gigs from Finales, Bullwinkles, and Dave's CC Club. Enjoy this one! SCopeland
