Tang KaiTang Kai - Fly away from this place ep [Cam067] ()

Having not officially released music since the mid-90s, legendary modgroup Fairlight's Mikael Fyrek makes a comeback in the netscene , teaming up with awe-inspiring vocalist Jenny Tang Kai as the ambient/electro duo simply named Tang Kai. They offer us 4 tracks of sublime electrified trip-hop, with slowpaced, cinematic progression, accompanied with elevating vocals and soulful writing. An ep to enjoy while they finish their album for Apegenine Recordings, due winter 2005. Peaceful, yet creeping and crawling beats, that soothes the mind

Lovely, slow, plodding, bumping, mood music.

Subject: Very laid back Sunday chill
An EP made especially for those laid back Sunday afternoon chillouts. Highlights include unique samples and that beautiful female voice that is stunning.

The only weak chain in these tracks was the actual musical composition. The composition was good but not up to the exceptional standards of the instrumentation and singer. (Hopefully that made some sense.)

Well worth the download.

Subject: Great female-vocal triphop.
Beautiful, evocative electronica with female vocals from the Camomille crew - agree, looking forward to the full Tang Kai album.

Subject: splendid
Well-sculpted sounds bouy up graceful vocals in this delightful trip-hop EP. Excellent mixing and well-placed effects. Looking forward to their full album.
