It's cool to hear the early incarnations of these three songs.
A couple of corrections to the track listing though (tracks 1 and 3 are mislabeled)
1. The Drop - (This is not Scotch ...) It's an early version of The Drop with a different first verse. The song wasn't officially released until a quarter of a century later on Spin Doctors' If the River Was Whiskey LP/CD.
2. Teddy - This was released a decade after this recording on Chris' first solo CD, Shag. The lyrics are virtually the same but the arrangement is a little different.
3. Yo Baby - (This is not Yo Mama). Chris introduces it as "a lewd little ditty" - It also has virtually the same lyrics as when it was officially released on the 3rd Spin Doctors' CD (Homebelly Groove - live) a few years later.
Too bad there's so much audience chatter - this is a nice recording otherwise of Chris' vocals and minimal guitar.
Thanks to Dave M for transfering and uploading! Thanks to Michael Gould for taping.
Peace,
Sean
