The Cowboy Junkies played two shows this night at The Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN. The early show was at 6:30 pm and the late show was at 9:30 pm. Teddy Thompson was the opening act for both performances. I only attended the late show - but noticed other tapers set up - so, maybe the early show was recorded too. I was located in the 6th row - directly in front of the left stack. The Cowboy Junkies always put on a great performance and tonight was no exception. From the psychedelic space-jam of Lay It Down - to the heartfelt versions of three Townes Van Zandt songs (Rake, Flyin' Shoes, and Marie) - and several selections from their new record "At The End Of Paths Taken" - it was truly a great night!
Enjoy the recording and continue to share the gift of music.
