Subject: A great audience recording
Not another muddy bootleg, this excellent recording captures Martin's voice--vivid & effectively reverbed--backed by a piano never blurred or distant but always sharply present. The concert itself is a joy: between-song comments are witty, and the covers--"Running Up That Hill" (excerpt) and an off-the-cuff "Dancing in the Dark"--fine additions to her own outstanding songs. A singer-songwriter hitting her stride and having a great time doing so.
