Subject: This movie is excellent and those overly PC idiots need to shut up
I have seen this movie and I find that while it isn't one of his best it is certainly a fine movie and this trailer is excellent.

Now, to those people that claim that the movie is bad because we haven't reached Mars yet or because they don't see any black, latino, or anyone other than white people in the film. Get over it. Besides, you're wrong about there not being non-whites. Granted there are no black people but one of the astronauts is a Latino and another is an Asian from Japan (that took some nerve considering this was only a short while after WWII). And to be fair, another astronaut is a blonde hair blue eyed Scandinavian.

George Pal made a good movie and it even has a semi-international cast which shows that he's trying to be fair so shut your yaps and actually watch the movie before you complain about it.

Subject: Sadness
I watched this, have seen the movie, and many others by George Pal and his contemporaries. What strikes me as sad is that they predicted mankind would be exploring the Universe by now, and instead we keep killing ourselves over the most asinine of reasons. When will the species called Man grow-up? The directors and writers during the 1800s and 1900s had it right. Man should be out in the stars, not killing everyone, or coveting things. Are we are too stupid to realize that?

This clip is socko-boffo! If only to see that great actor Ross Martin (Wild,Wild West)feign the force of gravity effect pulling in on his face. Awesome!

Some excellent footage of yester-year's future - highly recommended!!!

On the issue of only euro-american actors: I suspect all the producers friends and associates were same general euro-american ethnic groups, and the film's mono-ethnic casting reflects this.

In historical films like westerns, casting must accurately represent the etho-demographics of the era - just for authenticity. But in a fantasy or futuristic vision, is it a problem if casti is all asian or euro-american, or mestizo? or just personal preference???

Subject: George Pal is our Master
GREAT looking trailer here for this George Pal classic. I donÃÂt think IÃÂve seen it, but from what this looks like, it looks like I need to, because this looks ultimately fabulous. ItÃÂs got everything! ÃÂDangerous WaystationsÃÂ, Big round red meteors, men conveniently there to slide down cafeteria tables.. I mean, come ON, you canÃÂt resist something like that!
ThereÃÂs also a black and white mini trailer to prove all you nananana nitpickers wrong about George Pal. See? He was RIGHT about the invention of the satellite! Now go away you scum sucking non-believersÃÂ

Subject: How amazingly accurate
"Before the year 2000" Man will live on Space Stations and Travel the solar system.

Just one problem:

Where are the black people? The asians and the hispanic/latinos?

I guess they figured that there wouldn't be any black people in the year 2000. Or, that all the minorities would be left behind on a polluted Earth.
