Os Gengivas Negras formam um projeto de continuidade da música industrial, esboçando um manifesto de admiração por antigas máquinas e seus ruídos, unindo pesquisa por novas alternativas na elaboração de sonoridades sintéticas com o resgate de conceitos do "industrial clássico" associado a novos termos como o power noise. Idéias como "harmonia" e "composição" são solenemente trituradas pelos Gengivas Negras e substituídas por saturação e processamento, resultando em artefatos sonoros, não em "música". Os Gengivas Negras são Carlos Morevi, que individualmente responde pelo Fetalcohol, e Theo, integrante do Mecanotremata. Juntos, dividem a manufatura e reprocessamento de fontes sonoras a serem tratadas através de pedais de distorção e softwares, utilizando ainda samplers, baterias eletrônicas, geradores de ruído e outras fontes de barulho, formando um espectro particular no universo da sonoridade industrial e da espontaneidade da música noise.

The Gengivas Negras forms a project of continuity of industrial music by sketching a manifesto of admiration for old machines and their noises. By joining research for new alternatives into the elaboration of synthetic noises, along with the rescueing of the old concepts of "classic industrial" styles to create a new class of sound... power noise.
Ideas such as "harmony" and "composition" are solemnly triturated by the Gengivas Negras and substituted by saturation and processing, resulting in sonorous soundscapes, not normally considered "music" by the bulk of our population.
The Gengivas Negras are Carlos Morevi, who individually answers for Fetalcohol, and Theo, integrant of the Mecanotremata. Together, they divide the manufacturing and mixing of sonorous sound sources treated through distortions, softwares, samplers, drum machines, noise generators and other cacophonous sources to form their particular niche in the universe of the industrial noise scene.
