Transcribed copy of letter. Whereabouts of original manuscript unknown
William Lloyd Garrison wishes that Maria Weston Chapman was able to attend the hearing before the Joint Committee of the Legislature on Woman Suffrage, in the hall of the House of Representatives. There was a large crowd of spectators and "excellent speeches were made by Mr. [Wendell] Phillips, Mr. Bowditch, and Miss Beedy," an English Woman Suffrage advocate. "The great sensation of the hour is the Moody and Sankey 'revival.'"
