Subject: Inspirational book for urban gardeners
This book was published just after the Great War (WWI), with the partial object of inspiring its readers with the idealistic pursuit of gardening.
Erudite and comprehensive, this book should also inspire urban gardeners today who are likewise seeking peace and self-sufficiency in dicey times.
I particularly like the short poems quoted.
Eddie Albert's character in Green Acres would relish this book.
