Subject: some quick 'meal for ya
Is what great seeing Cornmeal at 10klf and they did a pretty good job. You can tell that the Keller set bein pushed back drew from their crowd early on, it seemed to affect their spirits a little bit. All in All, not the best Cornmeal performance Ive seen, but Ive seen so many that you have certain expectations. Allie had what I think she calls "farts" here and there, and they just didnt seem 100% together. Cornmeal is always good, but there are some better shows out there. Ahh, who am I kidding, I love these guys! They never disappoint at a show and this recording is definetly worth listening to. Try the 5-28-06 show if youre new to the band though, I like it alot.

Subject: Nice!
Scott and Kris, this sounds great! First I've actually heard Cornmeal (missed them at 10KLF while recording another show), and am now very much looking forward to them hitting Mpls again, soon!!!

I'd give it 5 stars, but the Saloon Stage just ain't got that kind of 5 star sound, you know?

Subject: Full Rig Info
Hey there! This recording was done through my rig and I didn't get a chance to jot down the info for Kris. My Audio Technica AT853 (cardioid) mics were combined with the SBD feed using an Edirol UA-5 (custom modded by Busman2). I took the optical output from the UA-5 for my JB3 recording device while the band took the coax output for their laptop.

FYI - If you like the sound, I used the same recording setup for Madahoochi who preceded Cornmeal in the Saloon Stage. Check them out!

I really wanted to hear this as I could not make the set at 10KLF.

Cornmeal rocks and their tour with Honkytonk Homeslice is going to be epic.

10KLF was incredible this year. So much good music and amazing vibes. There weren't as many people at this show as I was hoping there would be, but after a couple of smokin' songs, the Saloon started to get packed. Great musicianship, and I just wish you could have seen the smiles on their faces. Cornmeal does it again!!!
