D-Fault is the collaboration Experimental/IDM project of Maayan Peer (aka Black Mizi Pro Duck Sun) and Yaron Eshkar (aka Faxi Nadu / Elmooht), both hailing from Israel. The vast array of musical influences between the artists, and at times the clash between them, brings about an interesting collaboration, rich in flavor and content. D-Fault packs in both the raw power and warmth of the analog world, with the clarity and precision of the digital DSP domain. Hi-tech broken grooves, chopped up melodies and sizzling digital effects, exploring the limits of creativity. Dark, psychedelic and disturbing, yet vaguely optimistic, giving D-Fault a fresh, yet nostalgic appeal.
Artograph Artograph is a wierd and abstract piece, wrapping an emotional message in a swirl of experimental idm vibes, climaxing in a spiritual heartfelt melody.
DNS Almost optimistic, DNs playfully dances around a dry broken beat. With the oldschool theramin sounds, DNS is a vague throwback to nostalgic times of electronic music.
FS Nirotic. Melancholy. Strange. This is probably the most eerie tune produced by D-Fault on the Artograph EP. The torn up beats get a brassy, heavily editedmelody on this one.
EQ Dwelving into the darker sides of the soul, eq is a faster disturbing tune. Quirky beats and intrecate audio slicing and endless glitching make this a sariously paranoid tune.
Yaron Eshkar (aka Faxi Nadu / Elmooht) Yaron Eshkar is a convicted x-phile and trekkie, whose geekness eventually found a home in the music making world of bits and dbs. His main musical project Faxi Nadu, focuses on hard and kicking psytrance/techno with a dark and sinister twist. Groovy horror tunes with a heavy dose of soundscapes, psychedelic effects, paranoid screams and groans - suitable for partying on the dance floor. As Elmooht, Yaron has been experimenting with the avantgarde for a number of years, presenting rich crafted drone and atmosphere experimental music.
