Notes
What a great night! First and foremost, my children Max and Lulu joined the old man and we had a blast! It was their first "so called" dead show and we were all dialed into the scene as we enjoyed the party from the taper section! Next I want to give a huge shout out to the entire Krewe of the Grey Lady who all came for the reunion from Nantucket: Tripp and Elissa Billings, Norm and Becky MacDonald, Matt and Nina Liddle, Kyle Barret, LJ Field, Scott "Skeeter" Capizzo, Rob Mooney, Donnick Carey, Bob Ruley, and anyone else I missed! SO MUCH FUN!!! Now about the show, in my opinion, -this was a -7- on a scale of 1-10 only because I'm such a purist. I really hope these guys continue on with this endeavor so as to give John Mayer a little more time to get used to the true jam genre... PS with all due respect to Oteil, I miss seeing Phil play with Bobby. Also, they should say thanks, but no thanks to Donna Jean...The vocals are fine without her!
Peace

Donna Jean, you nailed it the next night on GDTFB w/ Oteil.
I'm planning on Denver in November.
Subject: Thank you for recording and sharing!
Subject: I agree with Mark
Her era was the best in the band's history (IMHO)
Subject: With all due respect
On a lighter note, I was at the incredibly fun Oxford, ME shows in July of '88 and someone started yelling, ''LET MICKEY SING!'' Bobby heard the guy and responded by saying,''Let Mickey sing? You obviously haven't heard that. I mean you can have it if you really want.'' Accurate quote because it's pretty clear on the show's recording. That still cracks me up to this day. I guess it's true that there are those who are better off with drum sticks than a mic.
